Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, McMinn County Schools was notified of a potentially armed suspect on the run in connection with an overnight criminal investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, we have placed our schools under a Secure status.
What does "Secure" mean?
A Secure Action is taken when there is a potential threat or hazard outside the school building. All students and staff are brought inside, and all exterior doors are locked to secure the building. Please note: Classes are continuing as normal inside. Instruction is not interrupted, and students remain safe and supervised.
If needed, access to and from the building will be limited and monitored by our School Resource Officer (SRO) to ensure everyone's safety.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any updates.

Some updates we need to share:
•4th grade has been moved to the elementary side of the building, so please plan accordingly for pick up.
•Due to rising costs, ice cream will be $1.50 this year. Our ice cream box has not yet been stocked. We anticipate mid-week. Please reference teacher preference as to daily-weekly-monthly payment.
•A Saturday STREAM trip is now taking reservations. Find details on school website & Facebook
